Processing My Payments
Are my payments guaranteed?
With the CheckFree Guarantee, you can be assured that your
electronic payments are safe and reliable. When your
payments are processed through CheckFree, you are protected
in the
unlikely event of unauthorized transactions or processing

How does a company or person receive my money?
OnLine Bill Pay sends payments electronically whenever
possible. If the company or person cannot receive electronic
payments,
OnLine Bill Pay prints a check and sends it to the billing
address. The check contains the following information:
Your name and address
The company or person's name and your account number, if
available
The payment amount
The pay date
If you added a memo to your payment, the information is printed
on the memo line of the check. The maximum length of the
memo is 34 characters.
Why do you need four days to process some payments?
Some companies and many people cannot receive electronic
payments. In these cases, OnLine Bill Pay prints a check
and mails it to the address you provided when you added
your bill. Four days allow us time to send the payment.
Some billers may not always credit your account on the same
day that they receive the payment. Making payments in advance
of the bill's due date allows enough time for the biller
to receive the payment and credit it to your account.
What do I do with the part of the bill statement that I
used to mail back with my payment?
You don't need to do anything with your bill statement.
All of the information you provide when you add and pay your
bills in OnLine Bill Pay is sufficient for us to process
the payment and for the biller to credit your account.
You
can keep the statement for your own records.
How do payments show up on my account statement?
When you receive your account statement, the payments made
through OnLine Bill Pay usually appear as electronic
withdrawals (similar to ATM withdrawals) even if OnLine Bill
Pay sends
a check for the payment.
Note: In some cases, the payments appear on your account
statement just like your other checks. However, the sequence
numbers on these transactions are typically higher than the
sequence numbers on your checks.
